This year, fashion seems more wearable than usual across all major fashion cities. Is it as a result of the pressure of streetwear on traditional high-fashion influences? Is it because of the increase in competition from the low-price industry? Some major international brands have presented a mix of everything – and-its-opposite, just as some trend agencies tend to publish more and more trend reports per season… I personally don’t think the labels that really stand out this season are linked to “what’s the trend right now”. Rather, they follow a timeless cohesive idea and a rather clear vision.
Here are some outfits from Retold that fit some of the 2019 trends:
Bright / Neon colours
Originally, this clothing trend rose to fame in the 1980s as it was youthful, new and definitely went well with the disco scene. Now you'll see the street stylists and the hottest fashion bloggers rocking this trend.
Go Big Or Go Home
Sometimes you have to just go for it when it comes to trying new trends. Try a reflective shade of a brightly coloured jumpsuit or a throw-on-and-go sweatshirt. Sometimes it’s best to give it all you have in a neon-fuelled fashion world.

Lace
Lace is used in patchwork fabrics, in panels or as ribbon/train/bows. It makes dresses softer, it’s a little see-through, it adds a romantic note to your outfit. Something I have learnt is that the smaller the details, the more thread went into creating the embroideries: it is a sign of better quality.
Utilitarian
Without a doubt jumpsuits and playsuits are, a statement style. The head-to-toe, all-in-one garment produces a striking look that moves beyond a basic dress or pants and top combo, and into more fashionable territories. So why are so many women still avoiding this trend-worthy style? Well, it isn’t always the easiest piece of clothing to pull off. Choose the wrong fit or add the wrong accessories and your jumpsuit or playsuit can go from a fashion hero to a fashion zero. Fortunately, we’re here to help make sure your every ensemble is chic for either night wear or casual attire.
