RETOLD And Gulf For Good launch partnership
We're excited to announce our new partnership with local charity initiative, Gulf For Good, the empowering UAE-based organisation on a mission to support sustainable charity projects for children around the world.
As you now know - 'Fashion' is one of the world’s biggest industrial polluters, and RETOLD’s commitment to bringing a sustainable fashion option to the fashionistas of the UAE does not hold us back from seeking out other ways we can help make the world a better place.
Gulf for Good is a Dubai-based charity initiative that raises funds by organising international adventure trips, treks and challenges, like hiking to Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, and Machu Picchu.
Gulf for Good is currently supporting sustainable charity projects for children’s education in Peru, Uganda, Tanzania, and Nepal; including COVID-19 relief such as WASH stations, hygiene supplies, masks, and PPE equipment. They are also currently focusing their efforts on emergency disaster relief for Lebanon.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, the core public fundraising ‘options’ that Gulf For Good organises – the international adventure trips, treks and challenges – were all sadly put on hold. However, the needs of the vulnerable children around the world that Gulf For Good supports, do not rest, if anything, their needs have become all the more urgent and pressing.
So with this in mind, we are pleased to partner with Gulf for Good: you can donate your unwanted wardrobe clutter at the RETOLD boutique, where our team will sort the items and showcase the pieces. Customers can then shop from the collection – the profits of which will go towards Enjoro Primary School in Tanzania helping to renovate classrooms and school facilities impacting nearly 1000 children. This initiative is approved by the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department with license no 3175.
Our efforts will support the wider Gulf for Good activities; raising awareness for 60 projects in 27 countries, helping over 30,000 children.
