Irene's Edit!

Fashion Stylist, YouTuber & all-round wonder woman!

One of our favourite Dubai-based stylists recently popped into RETOLD and picked out some super-chic outfits for us. Irene is a Galway girl with a serious eye for style, having been in Dubai for the past 7 years, this mum of 2 is a woman of many talents. By day she is a SM guru for a well-established school (funnily enough the one that our very own CEO and Chief Storyteller, Sian, went to - albeit many, many moons ago!), and in her spare time she maintains her popular YouTube channel, she explores some hidden gems around the UAE, and she fills her wardrobe up with her obsession with fashion accessories!

We've done loads of work with Irene in the past, and this month she popped into RETOLD and spent hours browsing our current stock. As such, she pulled out and styled up a load of outfits for us to share with you lovely lot.

So here's Irene's Edit

Outfit 1: Rock the School Run

Irene's Edit - Outfit 1

Make sure you are the smartest parent on the school run, by partnering a little sweet with a little fierce. Irene picked out this bright green pleated polka dot skirt, which screams '50's retro chic', and teamed it with a rocker style printed t-shirt to give it some edge. Slide on these black ankle sock-boots (Irene has a long-lasting obsession with sock-boots and was THRILLED to find a few pairs currently in stock at RETOLD!) to bring the whole look super on-trend, and throw a classic black handbag over your shoulder.

Style rating: 10/10

Outfit 2: For the love of Lace

Irene's Edit - Outfit 2

The little white lace dress is so versatile for so many occasions. By keeping all the accessories on a neutral colour palette, you find the right balance to keep an old-fashioned textile looking super-fresh. We see this tone-on-tone outfit being perfect for a day out at the polo, a way of keeping cool and looking cool in the sunshine.

Outfit 3: Werk it Workwear

Irene's Edit - Outfit 3

Picking the right work outfit can be a minefield; navigating the right balance for comfortable and corporate, professional and polished. Irene's advice is to pick a bold shift dress (at the knee length is best if you work in an office) like this cobalt blue number, and team it with a neutral blazer - pictured here is a beige one, however make sure you pick a neutral colour that suits your skin tone. And here you've got a choice to either slip on a closed-toe pump heel, or if you prefer the comfort of a flat loafer.

Outfit 4: Take a walk on the Wild Side

Irene's Edit - Outfit 4

Irene openly confesses to loving animal print, so it made sense for her to gravitate towards this floor length black & grey snake skin print dress. Matched with simple black accessories will let this number do all the talking, perfect for a glamourous evening out.
